The Justice Journey: The Barnes Family

When I think of the testimony of our life journey I think of so many blessings! ...caring for the orphans as pure religion (James 1:27) or the power of a testimony-I've come to the conclusion that I just want to be a voice crying out in the darkness. John 1:23 John replied in the words of Isaiah the prophet, “I am the voice of one calling in the wilderness, ‘Make straight the way for the Lord.’”

About Us!

John & Christi Barnes
John has a bachelor's in Education, Tarleton State University (Texas A&M System)in Stephenville, TX and a master's, Trinity College of the Bible & Seminary (He cringes at creditials, primarily because though education can open doors and provide avenues of skill, he knows that God doesn't call the qualified; he qualifies the called). John been a youth pastor since he was 19 years old. Approaching two decades of student ministry has only fueled his passion for discipleship and what it means to live out God's Word. Now, we can finally add and announce that June 2011 God confirmed our call to Haiti as full time missionaries! Moved to Haiti Dec. 2011. He met Christi in college and together they directed Week Extreme Youth Camps in the U.S. and Haiti for ten years. Christi was a Social Work student also striving to obtain her EMT certification for Haiti Missions. "We embrace diversity...serving and loving is our passion. Our life is a mission field. We are consumed by the Call to leave a legacy, see lives changed and souls saved for God's glory!"

Our Love Story for Haiti~

We are not called to a country, we are called to obedience in joining a movement with our Haitian brothers and sisters in bringing the Word of Christ to the streets and villages of a beautiful country in tangible expressive love for our neighbors in providing food, clothes, medical care, caring for the orphan and widow, visitng prisoners and prosistutes - loving fearlessly...making disciples for God's glory!
